Challenge 427: The School Trip

Another student problem, this time from Jason in Year 12!

A class has 30 students who sit in 3 rows of 10.

The teacher needs to select 5 students to go on a school trip. They decide not to select any students who sit next to each other.

(To clarify, this means next to each other in a row.)

How many ways can the teacher make the selection?
