There’s a quadratic equation to investigate.... Can you find the given connection between its solutions and its coefficients?

The quadratic equation x2 + px + q +1 = 0, has non-zero integer solutions a and b. Find, in terms of a and b, two pairs of integers with a product of p2 + q2.
