Can you find these probabilities if both players are equally good players?
Two students are determined to find out who is better at chess. They decide to play a match as follows:
The first person to win either two games in a row, or three games overall is declared the winner. If there are three consecutive draws then the match overall will be declared drawn, with honours even.
If the two students are actually equally good players, and the chances of a win, draw or loss in each game are equal, what is the probability that the match will be drawn overall?
