Challenge 136: A Queuing Question
Can you solve Jo's queuing quandary?
Last half term, Jo celebrated the holidays by going to the cinema.
On Friday, while queuing up, she saw that a fraction x of the queue was in front of her, while 1/n of the queue was behind her.
On Saturday, the same fraction x of the queue was in front of her, while 1/(n + 1) of the queue was behind her.
Then on Sunday, the same fraction x of the queue was again in front of her, while 1/(n + 2) of the queue was behind her.
Find two different values of n for which this is possible.
