Debbie’s second son, joined KCLMS with the 2016/17 cohort; her eldest son is at Sheffield University and her youngest is also passionate about mathematics.

Debbie’s education was somewhat different, culturally rich, if not unusual. Born in Singapore and educated there as well as in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands before returning permanently to the UK to do her A levels. She joined the Management training scheme with Marks & Spencer in 1984 and worked within the retail sector in senior commercial positions, up until 2010.

For the past six years Debbie has enjoyed working in the education sector with a broad range of schools in the South East, to deliver curriculum objectives, outside the classroom. She is an active volunteer locally and in April 2017 ran the London marathon for a small charity.
