After graduating in Maths from Sheffield University, Clare qualified as a Management Accountant and worked for British Telecom International, American Express and Marie Curie before having a career break to have children. Unable to escape her true love, she trained to be a Maths teacher and has extensive academic and pastoral experience in both the state and independent sectors - her roles included Deputy Head of Sixth Form at Tiffin Girls' School, and Head of Maths at both The Ursuline Comprehensive Wimbledon and Wimbledon High School. She is currently Assistant Head at Wimbledon High School.

Clare is Chair of the Education Committee.
