Carol Southgate

Carol is mother to Tom, who will be in the graduating class of 2020.

She is a small business owner, having set up a series of businesses with her husband over the last fourteen years, including a business in Croatia where the family lived for several years before returning to the UK so that her children could start school.

A native of Aberdeen, Carol is a graduate of Aberdeen University where she gained a degree in Maths. Her professional background is in the field of quantitative analysis as a applied to portfolio management, a discipline that blends maths, economics and computing to develop effective investment and risk management strategies for pension funds, unit trusts and hedge funds.
