Alison Wolf

Vice-Chair of Governors, Chair of the Finance and General Purposes Committee.

Alison is a College Governor who was instrumental in founding King's Maths School. In addition to being Vice-Chair of Governors and Chair of the Finance and General Purposes Committee she sits on the Pay Committee and will be the College representative on the UK maths schools steering group. Term of office: 4 years from 2013-14, extended to Summer 2021)

    Baroness Wolf of Dulwich is Sir Roy Griffiths Professor of Public Sector Management at King’s College London, where she directs the International Centre for University Policy Research. Alison sits as a cross-bench peer in the House of Lords.

    In March 2011 she completed an official review of vocational education for England’s Secretary of State for Education. Its recommendations were accepted in full; and she has advised the government on implementation. Alison Wolf is a regular contributor to the broadsheet press, Prospect and BBC Radio 4; an academic member of King’s College London Council; and a trustee of the Abbeyfield Society (Newbury). Her most recent book is The XX Factor: How working women are creating a new society (Profile Books 2013).
