SEVEN+
What?
SEVEN+ is a carefully designed programme of sessions to improve your mathematical knowledge and skills, and also your confidence and success with mathematical reasoning and problem solving. Led by experienced teachers, the sessions will be fun, of course, but also intensive and demanding: strenuous workouts in the maths gym! You'll leave each day feeling more confident of achieving a very high grade in your GCSE, and you'll have made more secure the knowledge and skills you'll need to do so.
When?
13-15 April 2021, 9:30 to 15:30 each day.
Where?
COVID-19 permitting, all sessions take place at King’s Maths School, 80 Kennington Road, SE11 6NJ. The school is located centrally, and just a short walk away from Waterloo, Lambeth North and Elephant and Castle stations. Local bus routes include 3, 59, 159, 344 and 360.
If the pandemic prevents face to face sessions, we will run the programme online instead.
Who?
SEVEN+ is for students who:
- attend a non-selective state school
- do not have parent(s) or carer(s) who studied at university
- are targeted to achieve a grade 8 or 9, but at the moment are not securely meeting that target
We will prioritise offers to applicants who:
- live or have lived in local authority care
- are a young carer
- have, or consider themselves to have, a disability
- have been eligible for Free School Meals in any of the past 6 years
- come from neighbourhoods with low overall progression rates to higher education.
