King's Maths School

A professional mother of three, my eldest is currently at King's and loving the experience of meeting similar, like-minded young people. My background is in engineering and I work within Strategy Reform (Network Rail) ‘governing’ Policy. I am also a well-being and mental health champion and I lead an ED&I group that looks to improve equality and BAME recruitment in the industry. Spare time involves hikes, camping and music. My heritage is from the developing world, and I’m proud of my cultural background and how it enriches my life and those around me

Why me?

I’m well versed in governance, and know that we can’t always agree on the same things, and nor should we. A bit like maths there are lots of ways to get to the correct answer, and I would respect this as a parent governor representing your interests. I am collaborative, ethical and detailed in my approach, in that I would represent your voice with my joint governors to reach a consensus that our stakeholders (the students) would be happy and proud of. As an add-on, I have experience in commercial building developments including contract executions which means I would be able to support in the future development of the school, commercial, procurement, and award.
