King's Maths School

The Class of 2024 attained superb A Level results, in fact our best ever. Across Maths, Further Maths & Physics A Levels, students achieved a record-breaking 77% A*, 97.6% A*-A and 99.5% A*-B grades. On average, students achieved four-fifths of a grade higher per entry than predicted by national data. One student even achieved the top mark in Further Maths nationally.

An incredible 38% of our leavers secured places at Oxford and Cambridge with the vast majority of other applicants going on to highly competitive universities such as Warwick, Durham, Bath and UCL.

In their second year, some KCLMS students opt to take their research further and complete an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), which is equivalent to half an A-level in scope and in UCAS weighting. 24 students completed an EPQ, with 15 A*s, 7 As, 1B and 1C awarded.

A number of students also sat the Cambridge STEP examinations, including sixteen who have secured places at Cambridge University on the basis of their STEP performance.
