Find out more
Not sure if King's Maths School is for you? Want to find out more? Open events are great way to learn more about the school and to help you make a decision about whether to apply.
Open Evenings
Open evenings provide an opportunity to find out more about our curriculum and to meet key staff including the Head Teacher.
Our open evenings will take place online via Zoom so that we can welcome as many people as possible. If you would like to attend, register by following the links below:
We encourage you to visit the school remotely. Interviews will take place at the school so any candidates progressing to that stage of our application will get to see the school before deciding whether it is right for them.
Taster Days
Taster days provide an opportunity to be a King's Maths Student for a few hours. You will be taught lessons by King's Maths School teachers, in our classrooms, and experience our inspiring and unique style of teaching and learning. You can choose to attend in the morning or the afternoon (subject to availability). Morning sessions will run from 09:30 and afternoon sessions from 13:00. This year, our taster days will take place on:
- Saturday 14 October
- Saturday 11 November
- Saturday 18 November
Follow this link and apply today.
Applications will be processed at 09:00 on the Monday before each event. The final deadline is on Monday 13 November.
There are limited places on taster days, and priority will be provided to students from under-represented groups, including:
- students from more challenging financial backgrounds, including those currently receiving Free School Meals and eligible for the pupil premium
- students who's parents / carers have not studied at university
- students from ethnicities less well represented in the mathematical sciences
- female students.
We are happy to support travel costs within London to taster days for any students eligible for Free School Meals / the pupil premium. Please contact KCLMSadmissions@kcl.ac.uk for further information.
360 virtual tour
COVID-19 restrictions mean that we are not able to host all open events at the school. But you can still see the building via this virtual tour, complemented by inspiring and fresh videos introducing you to our staff, student and alumni community.
